Petter Schneck 17??, German

I am looking for information about Petter or Pehr Schneck (Translated in Finland "Sneck"). He was a German born solider who raised a family in Savolax in middle Finland about 1790-. One of his daughters (my ancestor) had name Prudentia, which is a Catholic name and not used in Lutheran Finland. If you have any ideas where did he come to Finland and why, I would be thankful.
