Hi Bruce,
Frederick Schneck came from Wuerttemberg, Germany. I a centennial booklet entitled "Stevensville & Area, Stevensville, Michigan 1884-1984" Betty Goetz (Editor), on Page 295 it states that "Frederick and Dorothea Schneck came from Pomerania, Germany, to settle in Stevensville." But Frederick's nephew came from Wuerttemberg, then a kingdom in southwest Germany, whereas Pommerania (Pommern in German) is in northwest Germany. So I assume Pomerania is in error.
Page 295 also states: "David, the family musician, played a trombone for the Ringling Bros. band and traveled the country.
My records show David born June 25, 1859 and died March 11, 1920. Buried in St. Joseph City Cem, St. Joseph, Michigan.
How do you descend from this Schneck line?
Henry (Schneck)
