Hello Peter,
The death date is 10 Dec 1910 of Sophia. The headstone states this date as her death and also the death certificate.
Ferdinand Stollznow was spelt this way as indicated on the copy of the baptismal certificate I obtained from Gunterberg in 1980.I have seen other spellings on various German records.
I know Ferdinand was engaged to Ida's older sister who died just before their mattiage and her then took up with the younger sister Ida. His mother was a seamstress at the Gunterberg Schloss. Ferdinand was her second child. It appears that the mother Sophia had two previous broken marriages , one to an Auricht and the other to Gottfried Schmoll. I have hearsay that Ferdinand was the illegimate son of one of the visitors to the Schloss/Castle by the name of von Frischbier. My great grandmaother was born on the voyage to Brisbane in December 1863.( first of 11 children).
I have just returned from a vsit to Grieffenberg and Gunterberg, getting some nice photos of the churches and the ruin of the Schloss. I made contact with the local Pastor and his father also a pastor at the churches too. I had quite a lengthy discussion with them both, but could find no evident headstones or record of the families Lindow, Schmoll or Stollznow.
