Schmidt Family Lost?!? William SCHMIDT/ Mary Louise JULIAN

my father Joseph Arthur Schmidt, was born in 1935 in wyandotte michigan his father was William Schmidt and his mother was Mary Louise Julian, according to his birth certificate. His father passed away when he was about 8 or 10 in the 40's some time. His mother gave up the children, he had older and younger brothers and sisters.

I found a William Schmidt that died in Wyandotte michigan in 1944 whom was born in 1898. I traced him up to 1930 through the census and I have found a MARY "Smith", who was in a Julian family, in the 1930 census. she had two children a Betty and Helen. I believe this may be my ancestors.

but if you have any information on a William Schmidt who died in the early 40's and was married to a Mary Louise Julian, with children please let me know right away.
- my fathers name is Joseph Arthur Schmidt and he passed away in 1994 before this kind of research was avalible.
i have nothing else to go on.

Thank you for you time.
