I deeply apologize for very serious screw up on my part in the previous post
I was remembering another branch of my family (Buedifish, Peterfissh, Petefish)
I am sorry for that.
On the Schmidt side, my father is Myrle Laverne Schmidt b. October 1926 Philbrook Minnesota to:
Arther Paul Schmidt (though on my grandmother's Headstone it states Arthur R. Scmidt The R would have to be Raymond. Died sometime in the early 50's. I believe he is buried beside my Grandmother in Canfield Cemetary, Polk County Iowa) and Alta May nee: Petefish.Born 29 Jan 1899, died 2 Jan 1938 (TB); married to Arthur R. Schmidt; dau of Ulyses Grant Petefish and Lizzie Mae Hick. She is buried in Canfield Cemetary, Polk County Iowa http://iowagravestones.org/gs_view.php?id=5930
Shortly after my fathers birth the family moved to Altoona, Iowa and unknown how many years later most, if not the entire family, moved to the Bay Area of California.
There were 9 children born to Alta May and Arther P. (R.?) Schmidt:
Agnes b. May 21, 1918 d. December 15 2007, I cannot remember all of her childrens' names nor any birth years but the ones I know are: Darlene, Dwayne or Duane, Jerry Lynn and Connie, http://iowagravestones.org/gs_view.php?id=194374
Bernard Paul b. March 27 1921 d. January 11 1923 He is buried in Canfield Cemetary, Polk County Iowa

Lola unknown status. Last time I saw her was Ft Worth TX in 1998, Unknown how many children and their names.
Gladys unknown status, though last I knew she lived in the Hannibal MO area,
Myrle Laverne b. either 8 or 21 October, 1926 currently resides in Altoona, Iowa, 6 Children: Raymond Anthony b. 30 January 1950, Linda Ruth (me) b 4 November 1952, Arther Paul b. 24 March 1955, Kenneth Wayne b. July 12 (or 14) 1957, Daniel James b, 17 March 1959 and Wanda Mae b. 1 September 1961.
Vivian currently resides with her husband Earl Brasswell in Jasper, Arkansas, has 2 sons:
Alice died in past 5 years in Richmond California, has 1 son and one daughter.
Barbara died within last 10 years in California's Bay area,
Kress died I believe sometime between 1959 and 1963.
I do not know much more on the Schmidt family. I know more on my Grandmother Alta May's history which is Petefish. Which is what confused me.
If any of you can help me gor further back on the Schmidt line it would be greatlu appreciated!!
