Here's what I found. Carl & Frederica arrived at New Orleans, From "BREMEN GERMANY",...aboard the ship called "BARK DIANA"...They migrated up the mississippi, to St.Louis, then over to Germantown, Il. Germantown was at first called "HANOVER"..It seems the entire area was settled by German Lutherans, & German Catholics...Carl & Frederica arrived in 1846, If I remember...
