Hi Sierra,

My name is Philip Schlosser. I am the grandson of Samuel Schlosser (Sr., Born July 10, 1874). According to my family records, Philip (my name sake, born May 19 1859) drowned in the lake at North Liberty IN in January 1901 while he was assisting others in cutting ice from the lake. The ice was to be used in the making of ice cream in the Schlosser Brothers ice cream business. This was before the widespread use of refrigeration. I hope this helps,

Philip Schlosser
