Magdalena Schlosser was born 29 Oct. 1777 and died 26 July 1829. She was the daughter of John Heinrich and Elizabeth C. Schlosser, probably from Lancater Co., Pa. She married Jacob Poffenberger (1769-1846)in Frederick Co., MD. He migrated with his brothers from Tulpehocken, Berks, Co., PA first to Dauphin Co., PA and then to Frederick Co.MD, near Middletown. He was a blacksmith. They had thirteen children, seven sons. Some spell the name Poffinberger and moved west. For more on this family see: Thomas Poffenberger, "From Germany to Antietam, The early history of the Pfaffenberger family, Second Edition," Xlibris, 2003. Best source: Xlibris.com or 888-795-4274.
