Johann Joost, born 1670, Londorf, Germany, married 1.11.1701, in Hilsbach Reformed, Hilsbach, Germany, Margaretha Frey, bc 1678, Hilsbach, Germany, (daughter of Andreas Frey and Barbara Schmidt).Johann died 12.31.1742, Hilsbach, Germany.His father died when he was 10 and his mother died when he was 13.He was confirmed in the Londorf Lutheran Church in 1684.He was married at the age of 31 in Hilsbach, Germany which is about 100 miles south of Londorf.In 1721 he was taxed in Hilsbach for a house, a vineyard, four fields and three meadows.Margaretha's father was born 1650 in Hilsbach, Germany and her mother was born 1649 in Hilsbach.Her parents were married 6.7.1670 in Hilsbach Reformed.

Annville, married Christina.Johannes died aft 6.1840, Montgomery Co., VA.Sponsors at baptism were John and Catharine Uhler.In March 1775 at the age of 21, he enlisted to serve in the Revolutionary War under Capt. John Nelson.He was residing near Hagerstown, MD at the time.He was wounded at the Battle of the Brandywine. (Rev. War Pension Application #9666.)On 6.8.1835 he was a resident of Montgomery Co., VA.John is supposed to have left a will which was dated 6.1840.
