Hello Neal .. Nice to meet (?) you .. And yes, there probably is a relation here ..
Here is some of what we think we know in regards to our relationship to the Schippers:
Cornelius Walter Schipper II was my wife's great-grandfather. His son, Neal Schipper (b. 1907, Denver CO), was my wife's grandfather, from his marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Virgin (b. November 1, 1910, Cheyenne County, CO, d. October 9, 1979, Montclair, CA).
We were told that Cornelius Walter Schipper's wife (our great-grandmother) was one Margaretha Johanna Keukenmiester (b. February 13, 1872, Stompwijk, S-Hlln, Netherlands, d. May 16, 1955), and we have some of her ancestry.
Was Neal Schipper (b. 1907) your father? In which case, you and my wife would be first cousins.
I am amazed you found my post after 5 years since I posted it on the Schipper Family Genealogy Forum. If I can ask a favor, please don't take so long to respond this time :-) .. my wife is very very anxious to hear.
Thank you so very much
.. David Escoffery
