Hi,

I am looking for information on my Great-Grandmother. She is listed on my Grandfathers death cert as being born in Bedford County, Texas about 1841. Is there such a place? Her maiden name was Virginia Shick.

She married Isaac Sherman in 1856 in Contra Costa County California. She divorced Isaac and married my Great Grandfather Daniel Wheeler in 1869 in Redwood Townshhp, Santa Clara County, California.

I am interested in any birth or family information in Texas. I do not know how she migrated to California from Texas. Thanks very much...Jim Wheeler (formally jimw@ieee.org)
