I now have definite proof that the Margaret Cook of Whitchurch who was born Dec 21 1800 and died Dec 9 1878 is in fact Margaret Schell. NO PROOF yet who her parents are. (My suspicion is that she is the daughter of Mark and Delilah)
This Margaret 1800 was married to John Cook also of Whitchurch son of John Koch and Anna? I have the will of both John Cook and Margaret. The confirmation of Margaret's nee name was on her daughter Matilda's death certificate. Margaret's will states her death date and John's will states the names of all of their children and the married names for all of the girls. The dates of John and Margaret's birth and deaths are found on their tombstones found in the Lemonville ON church cemetery.
Johnathan Benjamin frequently is added as a child of this family. He is the son of Ebenezer Cook of Whitchurch, not John and Margaret's son.
As for Mary Elizabeth Schell, I believe that she might be the above Margaret's sister, but again NO PROOF, she did not marry the above John Cook born c1783 died 1864. She married another John Cook who died about 1831 or 1832 because she remarries in 1833 Henry Hebner. To help further your searches, Mary E's first husband John Cook may have been the son of another Ebenezer Cook whose wife is Helena, again NO PROOF. Hopefully these hints may help point you in a new direction. Thanks
