Good Morning, I understand how Joseph's birth place was listed Arizona. On the 1880, Pinal county census Joseph is listed at 9/12 months, place of birth is Arizona Territory. It would be very easy to claim Arizona as a place of birth. I will do more research- I can not find Elizabeth being in the Globe area before 1880. I know she and Robert have to be documented somewhere. All I have found is land records for next husband Alvin. (She married Alvin Beach in Tucson.) Elizabeth is such a difficult woman to trace due to the many husbands and the different mining camps/towns they lived in. I need to go back to Globe and research more as I now have more info than I did 5 or so years ago; and a trip to Silver City, Deming and Lordsburg for any records on Rolston. The pattern of migration for miners in this area followed the silver and gold strikes. Silver City NM area, Globe area, Pearce, Gleeson, and Dos Cabazos Arizona. As the strikes dwindled Elizabeth's children became cowboys and ranchers. can you provide place and death dates for Joseph and spouses. I became side tracked chasing Maggie and spent more time chasing Elizabeth. Thanks- PS. Is grandma related to the Riggs of Cochise County, AZ
