I would encourage all males with the surname of Scheibe to be tested for the Y-DNA. The fingerprint may be unique to the Scheibe surname. This particular Wilhelm Scheibe was probably from Saxony and he seems to fit into the I1a Haplogroup of Saxons. At Ysearch.org his identification is JB7T7 if you would like to see this particular DNA fingerprint.
