Hi.
My name is Scott Scheffer.
My grandparents came here sometime in the second ten years of the 1900s. My grandfather was Petrus Benjamin Scheffer, and he had a half brother named Gary Veldhausen. I think he was from Amsterdam. My grandmother's name was Jantje Looyen. I think she was from Rotterdam. She had a sister or half sister whose name was Mina, who also came to the United States but I'm not sure when. Funny thing is, Mina was also married to Gary, so the two sisters were married to the two brothers. I think they all lived in Wisconsin or Minnesota when they first came from Holland but they all moved to northern New Jersey at a relatively young age.
