Don't know if there is a connection or not. An extra "e" here or there is insignifcant. My Scheels are supposed to be related to Christian IX King of Denmark. I did just discovered a Scheel family in Schleswig Holstein, who may be related to my Scheels. At least it is the right area. A DETLEF SCHEEL, born 1711, and his wife, Mrs CATHERINA SCHEEL, born 1715 (Her maiden name must be unknown), and another couple who may be related to the first, a DETLEF HINRICH SCHEEL, born 1753, whose wife is DOROTHEA STARK, b 1757.
Wish someone would wave a magic wand over this.
Thanks,
LaShelle
