A follow up -- --

We went to Wamego Kansas and were able to locate the cemetery where George and Mary and their daughter Ella are buried. There is only one headstone, the one that was apparently placed when Mary died. Her name was the only name we could find on it. The cemetery records indicate that Schatz owned three plots -- the one where the headstone is plus the one on the north and the one on the south of that plot. Grave dowsing has indicated that a male adult is buried on the south of Mary, and an adult female is buried on the north.
