May 8, 1919 Monticello Express, Monticello Iowa says in his Obit: Wernideroge, Germany; I believe that is quite possibly a miss spelling of a village in Ostfriesland, the area in the north west part of Germany between Denmark and the Netherlands. Not sure which village, but it sounds like it could be either on the islands or close to the sea.
