I am researching the surname KAIL from Bohemia. There is a Joseph and Julia KAIL family listed on the 1920 US Census for Fremont County, Wyoming as follows:
Kail Joseph, Head, 42, M, W, married, self/father/mother born Bohemia
Kail Julia, Wife, 40, F, W, married, self/father/mother born Bohemia
Kail Mildred, Daughter, 8, F, W, single, born Wyoming
Kail Joseph M, Son, 2, M, W, single, born Wyoming
There appears to be some indication that the maiden name for the wife Julia is SCHALLY.
If you can confirm or disprove this theory about Julia's surname, I'd very much like to hear from you.
