I received a family tree from Germany last year on "SCHAUBLE's". At the bottom of the tree (measured 36' long x 25" wide) was inscribed "also SCHAIBLE, SCHEIBLE" although there was no distinction in the names on the list.
His name would not have been "Henry, or Charles etc. (immigration made changes in the first names and last name spellings - they spelled them phonetically and there lies the problem of researching) in German. Do you know the spelling of his name in the German language?
Most of the Schauble's were in NJ, - and some in NY, MD, and ILL. I have over 1000 family members in my database. This research was done for a friend of mine - she's 86 yr. old now.
Here is also a web site you can check ....sorry, I will look up and email you back.
I feel as though this is my family, for as much research that I have done. I found 2 brothers and their family - related - living in Germany.......two more in Ill., 2 more in Wisc......they are out there.......
Many many diffrent spellings of Schaible / Schauble / Shawbell / etc. I will email those also.
