Johnann Carl Scheafer immigrated to Texas arriving in Galveston on November 13, 1844, on the Johann Dethardt. He brought with him his wife, Elisabeth Ackermann, and 8 Children. The family settled in New Braunfels, Texas where may still carry the name. This line is well documented. I am currently proving this individual for the Daughter's of the Republic of Texas. Descendants are invited.
