David Scearce was in Greenbriar Co. Va. 1783 to 86 and by 1800 tax found in Ky. His bro. james was there earlier. This family was not of the Searcy family that was with Boone. The Searcy family of Granville Co., N. C. that was with Boone was Richard, Reuben and Bartlett sons of John Searcy and his wife Annis. These names found in Draper Papers. Reuben was there in 1777 and was never married. Richard was bn. 1759, REuben was n. ca. 1748, and Bartlett ca. 1755. Waunita
