The Daily Mail, daily newspaper published at Catskill, Greene County, New York, issue of Friday, February 14, 1986 CHARLES SCATTERGOOD Charles E. Scattergood, 61, of Windham, died Feb. 12 at his residence. He was born Jan. 30, 1925, in Mineola, the son of Clifford and Martha Flowers Scattergood. Masonic funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Windham Community Church. Spring interment will be at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ashland. Friends are invited to call at the Decker Funeral Home, Windham, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. He is survived by his wife, the former Rose M. Brandow and two children, Kenneth F. Scattergood and Cynthia R. Scattergood, both of Windham; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Scattergood was employed by the Adirondack Transit Co. of Kingston and served as chairman of Local 1582, UTU. He was a member of the Masonic Mountain Lodge No. 529 F&AM of Windham and Past Master. He was District Deputy Grand Master of the Greene-Ulster District and a member of the Mountain Star Chapter No. 237 and served as Worthy Patron. He was also a member of the Mountain Chapter No. 250 Royal Arch Masons of Windham and served as High Priest. He was a member of the Lafayette Commandery No. 7 and member of the Knights Temple, Hudson; member of Catskill Council No. 78 Royal and Select Masters; the Cyprus Temple AAONMS of Albany and a member of the Greene County Shriners Club, and past master of Unit Cyprus Temple.
