I'm related to William John Scattergood, an Iron Turner, born Nottingham circa 1855.

From the 1871 census for Nottingham, St. Marys I note that William John Scattergood's father was also named William and his mother Sarah. They were living in Poplar Street, Nottingham and in the same household was Henry 18 yrs and Samuel 11 yrs. It appears that my relative, William John, could be the brother of Samuel. Any information you may be able to share would be appreciated.
