Does anyone have information about a Scates family in Lynn, Essex County, Mass in the early-mid 1700s? Here are some entries from Lynn records:

1. From Records of ye Towne Meetings of Lynn, 1717-1730. P. 127: At the town meeting 6 Mar 1720/21, after a vote about the schools, the Selectmen voted that they "agree with Henry Scates to keep the boys in good order on the Lords Days in the Meeting House." P. 157: At a Meeting of the selectmen 15 Apr 1723, they "agreed with Deackon Daniel Mansfield for the Rest of his hous for Henery Scats for thirti shillings for one year . . ."

2. From Vital Records of Lynn, deaths: Skeats, Henry, abt 6 May 1729. Also: Seates, ___, widow. died abt 31 Mar 1739.

3. From The Essex Antiquarian, Vol. VII, 1903, p. 140: "Joseph Bassett published to Elizabeth Scates, both formerly of Boston, now residents of Lynn, July 1, 1775."
