I have reviewed all the info I have on this set of Pulaski Co., GA, Scarboroughs and I don't think I can be of further help here.Based on the location of Miles & Mary A. Scarborough there in 1850, in the same district as such other Scarboroughs as Aden & Elefair, I have to suspect he is not too distantly related to this group, but figuring out his actual lineage will require more detailed research than I can accomplish.
I must correct one silly error I made (and in which you apparently followed my lead):In my post #1951 on this forum on Feb. 19, 2005 regarding Orpha Scarborough, I noted that in the 1860 census, Mary's children were 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, and 6, and thus "I surmise that father Miles died between 1850 and 1854".Presumably he actually died *after* the birth of his youngest children, thus between 1854 and 1860.I apologize for any confusion this created.
