My GGF 's name was Daniel Scannell He came to Boston from
Rathcormac, Cork, Ireland in late 1800's early 1900's , from what I have heard is that is was married in Ireland to a woman named Scannell that was not family , she passed away over there and he came here with a brother I dont know his name ,My GGrandfather was a copper(Barrell Maker)
in Ireland and here in Boston , I know he married again here her Name was Mgt.Mullins and they had four children ,
Daniel, John, William (mygrandfaher) and a daughter Elizabeth. Margret died young , my grandfather was born in 1906, and I know he was very young when she died.
They lived in East Boston until 1939 and my grandparents along with my great grandfather moved over to South Boston where my grandparents lived until his death I think in 1945?, But my grandparnets lived until 1980 and then they moved to milton .
My grandfather passed away in 1982 and my grandmother in 2005 .
So any one with info about the Scannells from Rathcormac, Cork, Ireland , I would love to find out more ,no one seems to know much .
Thank you ,
Anne Marie Rheault
