Does anyone know of a Rita Catherine Scanlon? She married J. Raymond Lanteigne, making her my paternal grandmother. She died in Boston many years ago. We don't really know anything about her side of the family lines other than she had either 8 or 10 siblings. One of her siblings names was potentially Mary. (yeah, as if that isn't common!) One died of diptheria when (s)he was three. She had so many siblings that I'm hoping someone out there is related somehow! Would love to get more information on her and her side of the family, I do know some private information on her already.
My father (her oldest child) was born in 1953 in Boston...so I'm figuring she had lived there for a while before, as when I was born she was living there again, though she wasn't living there when my father was a child. Her ex-husband was in the Navy and was stationed in Morocco and Antarctica.
Rita Catherine Scanlon's family immigrated to the US from Dublin. I am not sure if she was born in the US or naturalized.
