Richard P. Scanland/Scanlin was in Pulaski Co., KY in 1850 and 1880 census.
Richard P. Scanland b. ca. 1808 Va md. Elizabeth "Betsey" Copenhaver 17 Dec 1836. Their children were James William b. 12 Jul 1837 and Sarah E. b. 31 Aug 1842
1850 census of Pulaski Co., KY lists Richard P. and wife Martha with children James b. 1843, Martin b. 1845, Henry b. 1847, and Mary b. 1849.
Does anyone know this family? I am trying to find a connection between Richard P. Scanland and my ancestor Prudence [Scanlan] Cox whose daughter sold land to Richard P. in Pulaski Co., KY.
