I am pursuing a possible lead in regards to my great-grandma. Backstory: My grandma was born 2-8-1909 as a twin, most likely in Pennsylvania. The other twin was a girl as well. The mother was a young Irish servant woman and gave both girls up for adoption. They weren't adopted out together.
We had heard that the mother's name was Sabrina Scanlon/Scanlan, but I am pursuing the possibility that her name was Sabina instead. There is a Sabina Scanlon who traveled from Ireland on the Oceanic in 1906 with her cousin, Bridget Healy, and was listed as heading to her sister, Catherine Scanlon's, house in Pa. I can't really read the town on the manifest, but it looks something like 26 Spring St, Bellevedire, Pa.
My grandma, when adopted, ended up in Pittsburgh, but I'm not sure if she was born there. She never met her twin and died in 1989.
If any of these names sound familiar, please post and let me know so that I can see if this lead is plausible. Thanks.
