Hi Mike,
I just started the search on this line so I don't know where they were from in Ireland. But I do have some good validated information for Missouri.
Thomas KEANE (KEAN, KANE) mar. Honora (Nora) SCANLON, DEC. 11, 1872, St. Patricks, Jackson county, MO. They were both born in Ireland. I need to send for a copy of the death certificate for Thomas. I have a copy of the death certificate for Honora. If you would like a copy, let me know by email and I will send it to you as an attachment.
Thomas Kean: b. c. 1839, Ireland
Father: unk
Mother: unk
Died: DEC 11, 1906, age 67, paralysis, Jackson county, Kansas City, MO.
Honora (Nora) Scanlon: b. c. 1838, Ireland
Father: Michael Scanlon
Mother: Bridget Sweeney
Died: March 11, 1913, age 75, uremia due to facial carcinoma.
Thomas and Honora had four children (per 1900 MO census record). I only have knowledge of three.
1. Annie Laurie Kean, b. NOV 6, 1872, christened at St Patricks, Jackson county, MO; d. unk.
2. Delia M. Keane, b. FEB 1876; d. OCT 23, 1937, Jackson county, MO.
3. Michael Joseph Kane, b. OCT 1, 1877, christened at St. Patricks, Jackson county, MO; d. JUL 13, 1966, Taylor county, TX. Married Jessie May ???, unk state, but believe MO; children, if any, unk.
I'm looking for more information on Michael Scanlon and Bridget Sweeney. Do you know who their parents are? Does anybody at this list know?
I'm trying to make a connection here with my BURKE and/or MARTIN lines with the Sweeney line.
