Hi Jackie
I have absolutely no other news on Clifford Scaife.
Apparently my gmother, Mary Jane Palmer, left Clifford with her inlaws and went to India to service in WW1.I believe that during her years in India she met up with my gfather, Leslie PENN, and they decided to leave India and settle in South Africa. On there way to SA, Mary went back to the UK (1920?) in search of her son and inlaws.Clifford would have been 7 by this stage.Sadly, Mary was never able to trace her son or inlaws.I believe in 1946. Stanley Spurgeon SCAIFE, tried to apply for a divorce from Mary but she had died by this time.Heard that the SCAIFE family were living in Devon at this time.Gosh, such a story so I'm sure you understand how I would love some news about Clifford. Many thanks - KIM (AUSTRALIA)
