Scott Wills' father and mother

Scott Wills/Wells is my great-great-great grandfather. His father, a white man, had him by an African woman in thw early 1800's. Please let me know if there is ANY information concerning him, his father or mother. Scott Wills was what was called a "shade-writer." He had five sons.
