The map of Edgefield District 1825 in Mills Atlas shows a creek called McTyer Creek flowing east southeast just the other side (south) of the ridge from the headwaters of Cloud's Creek. The stream is near Ridge Spring which is really the head of Cloud's Creek. It flowed into Orangeburg District in what now is Aiken County.

Isaac Boles' 1871 map of Edgefield County does not identify the name of this creek.

Today it appears to flow very close to the corner where Saluda, Edgefield, and Aiken counties touch. It should cross US highway 1 between I-20 and the SC 392 cutoff to Ridge Spring, just north of the South Fork of the Edisto River. It should be on the left of SC 392 as you go north to Ridge Spring.
