I am so sorry for the confusion. It is William Garrett Matthews. Their daughter was my grandfather's mother, Mary Haseltine Matthews. She married Levi Burdette Whittle. My grandfather was William Furman Whittle. Mary's father was Richard Furman Matthews. I think there is a Furman Whittle Cemetery. Can you tell me which Matthews you descend from?

I would very much appreciate any information on the family that you would be willing to share. I have pictures of my grandparents if you want. I hope to get to South Carolina soon and have more information. And also, to visit the graves. Can you tell me how to get to that cemetery?
