Hi Wallace: I beleive that I just replied to a message that you posted on another site. Anyway, I'm looking for information on Frances Heaton Woodward.

This is what I have: She was murdered in 1879 by J.J. Moore, who was lynched by a mob of mad citizens. I have a couple of newspaper articles on that. I also have the federal mortality schedule which lists Frances as married. The same schedules lists J.J. Moore.

I was told that she had a couple of orphan sisters, but I do not have their names. My gr-gr-grandparents were William Pascal O'Shields and Elizabeth Heaton. One of the articles on Frances states that she was on foot, searching for the home of her uncle Pascal O'Shields, when she was murdered.

Please contact me. I would love to share information.
