Hi William. I am not related. Genealogy is my hobby.

The SC Dept. of Archives and History has a wonderful Search Page (FREE). Here you can find the names of individuals in SC that are indexed in documents such as land plats, wills, etc., then if you find a record you believe to be your family, you can order a copy of the actual record at a nominal fee. Click:

http://www.state.sc.us/scdah/

once there...click on 'Records Indexes to Key Series Available On-line'

At that page click on 'Search Page'.

You can search for individuals, or look at the Topics index. I recommend searching for surname only and use your highlighter for given names. I never enter a date...you get better results.

It takes awhile to discover ALL the things you can do with this search page! Happy Hunting! Deb in SC
