Benjamin Grice/Grist born 1759

I am researching the Benjamin Grice/Grist b 1759 line. Benjamin was living in Pickins County, SC at the time of his RW pension application. I came to the conclusion per census records and the book "From Grandmother's Trunk" by Mary Grist Whitehead, and the RW pension record of Benjamin Grist, that this Benjamin is the son of John, and John may be the son of Richard Grist of Beaufort County, NC. But, I am still uncertain, and lacking in documentation. The Will of Richard Grist is given in the book, but I have found evidence of two or three Wills that might fit John Grist per the Internet, and don't know which one to choose. I believe my 3rd great-grandfather, Willis Grist, to be one of Benjamin's sons. Does anyone have documentation, or speculation, or a John Grist Will to share? It would be very encouraging to learn if I am on the right track, or, at least to get off the track if I am wrong. I would appreciate any information on this Grist line.
