Alice Orr married William B. Land, moving to Land Bridge Road near Chauga Creek. William B. was a descendant of Issac and Mary Billingsley Land. This was a old established family having been issued a grant for property along the Chauga River (circa 1821). The oldest written document, still in the family, is a deed to William Land, witnessed by Issac (circa 1806). This was for acreage on Boone Camp Creek.

Issac (1783-1830) and son William Henrey (1829-1905), Company M Palmetto Sharpshooters C.S.A., are buried in the Land family cemetery. William B. was the son of William Henrey and lived from 1873-1939.

The union of Alice Orr to William B. produced three sons: Luna Homer (1879-1976), Warren Lamar (1903-1985), Lloyd Davis (1921-1989), and a daughter, Lena Mae Talley (1916-____). The only descendants of Warren L. and Lizzie Hunter Orr were though the Land family which in 199_ now consist of 7 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and 7 great-great-great grandchildren.
