Bob,

I wonder if you might have information on Josiah Land.

I don't have a birth date on him, but assume he was born in 1810. His wife appears as Candis, Candish and Candace in census records starting in 1850. I believe her maiden name may have been Rosser.

Candish and Josiah had several children. Following from 1850 Census, Cobb Co., GA - Marrietta District.

Josiah Land age 40 b. SC
Candish age 43 b. SC
Mary Ann 20 b. GA
? F. 17 b. GA
John A. 15 b. GA
William H 13 b. GA
Nancy H 10 b. GA
Jefferson H. 9 b. GA

Josiah died somewhere between 1870 and 1880. Candish died, I believe in 1907 or 1903.

There is a Candace Rosser Land buried at Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. The dates on her tombstone match those of Josiah's wife. Candish Land's daughter, Francis is also buired there on one of her son's plot. His name was Lawrence Fenn who married Sallie Young.
