My wife's gg-father, Isaac Pipkin Smith, was born in 1849, possibly in Pickens Co, SC, died 1913 in Deaf Smith Co, TX. Isaac's father may have been Thomas Smith, born early 1800's, also of Pickens Co, SC. Thomas was somehow related to Whiteford Sheriff, born 1860 in Easley, SC. Thomas Smith may have been a son or grandson of Christopher Smith of Pickens Co.
