My William was born guilford county NC 1775
m. Jan 1801 in Jefferson Co, TN
d. May 18, 1861 in New Market, AL

He married Hannah Edwards, dau of Henry Edwards. (Hannah's father was Chief bob Wilson (Cherokee Indian) b. 1775 in NC? & d. 1871 New Market Al. But no one in our family has ever been able to go back any further than this William because we have no parents/siblings, etc. we wonder if he wasn't "disowned" by his family for marrying a Cherokee Indian.
