Sorry, I know very little about them at this time. Will keep you posted. I think they may have been in or around the Cleveland County area of NC which was once part of old Tryon county (made into Rutherford and Cleveland and I think Polk). Suspect they were farmers and i suspect they were well enough off. believe the Hamricks owned at least one mill in the area or a clothing chain in the area. that is just from old memories and is probably just a child's recollection, but i remember hamricks clearly going down the mountain to greenville. jm
