Pat,
Our gggrandfather was Harmon Cox. He was married twice, both times in Pickens, S.C. He had 10 children by each wife. He and his second wife had a son Samuel Orr Cox born in Pickens on May 10, 1856. Harmon was married the first time to Roda Jean Riggins (my gggrandmother) and a Samuel Cox was married to her sister Jincy Riggins. I have always thought that Harmon and Samuel were probably brothers, but have no proof of that. I do not know the names of Harmon's parents. Think he was born in N.C., but married and lived in Pickens, S.C. for many years. If you find a connection, please let me know.
