Email me at and I will send you my long notes on Peter Reese, Sr. and the Reeses and other families associated with him.

Here is some info on what I believe to be true concerning my Reece / Reese family.

Peter Reese m. to Barbara ?
b. ca. 1731?, d.1830 (I have no idea on her dates)

Peter's kin - likely his children - include:

Jacob Reese, born ca. 1769, SC, married Susan Harris, b. VA
Jacob and Susan both died after 1850, likely in Georgia. I have extensive notes on Jacob and Susan's children.

Levi Reese, born ca. 1774/1775, SC, perhaps married Barbara (last name unknown). Levi appears to have died between 1834 and 1840, probably in SC

Nancy Reese, born ca. 1776, probably in SC, married Henry Whitmire; Nancy and Henry died in SC

Elizabeth Reese, born ca. 1782-1784, SC, married William Whitmire (brother of Henry Whitmire). William died ca. 1851 in GA; Elizabeth apparently died in GA a few years later.

Peter Reese, Jr., born ca. 1784-1787, SC, married Rachel Anderson. Peter died roughly 1821-1825, likely in SC or GA

Samuel M. Reese, born ca. 1796, SC, married (1) Elizabeth Finley, married (2) Elizabeth Howard. Samuel died in Alabama in the 1860s. Samuel is so much younger than the other children that he might be Peter's child by a second marriage, or perhaps a son of some unknown child of Peter's ... or related in some other way.

My notes contain citations to all the sources I have found on these people, their children, and in some cases their grandchildren.
