Just a Quick note there are still old probate records kept in the Probate office here in Pickens County,SC. I realize due to the spilting of the counties some records went to Anderson Courthouse & Just today found some old deeds went to Oconee County. Its worth a try to check in Pickens County,SC. Note they do have indexes to these records in probate office (Note due to unrestricted access years back different cases/papers may have gotten mixed up or case in point an estate in my family yr.1829 gone completely yet 5 years ago it was there.) If you have a name I might could check for you
