I have been researching the LESLEYS of Pickens County since 1992, though mostly from afar. I have William Anderson LESLEY married 1840 to Sarah "Sallie" HIGGINS as father of Alexander Stephen and listed in household census 1860 age 4, 1870,13; 1880,23.
I have also seen info that the first son of William A. named William Choice LESLEY married 2nd Feb.10,1867 to Mary Elvira CRANE.
I would like to know who is the father of this William A. LESLEY. Also, the father of John LESLEY, born about 1775 in Fairfield Co (assume SC) married Elizabeth WOOD, listed in 1800 census in Union Co., SC, and moved to Pickens Co., Zion UMC area before 1810.
I will be glad to share my research with others.
