We are in the planning stages of holding a reunion for the descendants of prior landowners of the area now Ft. Jackson. We will soon set a date for this reunion. There are 26 cemeteries on this land and we have received quite a bit of interest in this event. We plan on having maps showing landowners; names and also will have a local historian to speak on the area as well as the forming of Ft. Jackson.
Many citizens relocated to Orangeburg County after the government purchased their land. For more information contact me @ jjhowell41@aol.com
