Seeking any information on one Jesse Brown, Revolutionary Soldier. Jesse Joined colonial forces after the fall of Charleston. For his participation he was awarded 488 acres of land on Rocky Swamp Creek in western Orangeburg County. There he raised a family which consisted of two known sons, John & Jesse and possibly a third son James. John moved to Laurens County, GA as soon as he was old enough, he was later joined by Jesse (one of my grandfathers). Jesse married Mary (Polly) Harralson/Harrelson. Any information on this family will be greatly appreciated and I am willing to share what information I have.
