I am trying to find information about Samuel W Williamson. He was born 1819-1820 in South Carolina. I have no idea where. He married Clarissa Jane Defree Stokes. He does not appear after the 1880 census. Clarissa appears in the 1900 census in Union Parish, LA. This is the information that I have gathered on him so far:

1850 AL Pike HH 292

Sml W Williamson 30 SC hh
William 28 SC brother?
James 21 SC brother?
Elisabeth 19 SC sister?

Williamsons in the area:
HH 226 JL Williamson
HH 292 Samuel W Williamson
HH 300 Joseph Williamson
HH 301 JF Williamson
HH 302 GW Williamson
HH 324 Stephen Williamson
HH 335 John Williamson

1860 AL Pike Eastern Division HH 109

Samuel Williamson 40 SC
1870 AL Crenshaw township 8

HH 32

Williamson, Stephen 71 SC
Morning 62 NC
Catherine 37 AL
Martha 34 AL
Alice 9 AL

HH 33

Williamson, Samuel 40 SC hh
Jane 30 AL wife
George 10 AL stepson
Samuel 5 AL son
Nancy 4 AL dau
William 2 AL son

I'm guessing his age is wrong here, Stephen could possibly be his father or uncle. I haven't been able to figure it out yet.

1880 AL Crenshaw Mt Ida HH 100

Williamson Samuel 60 HH SC SC SC
Clarisa 40 wife AL SC SC
Samuel Jr 16 s AL SC AL
Nancy E 14 d AL SC AL
William P 12 s AL SC AL
James P 10 s AL SC AL
Robert 6 s AL SC AL
Mary 3 d AL SC AL
Susan 1 d AL SC AL
Stokes George 21 stepson AL AL AL

In the general vicinity of where he purchased land in Pike County (now Crenshaw) were a Robert Williamson, George W Williamson, John T Williamson, Stephen Williamson, James A Williamson. The land of Robert, George, and John T was approximately 2-3 miles from Samuel's land. I have been unable to connect Samuel to any other Williamsons in the area.

Thanks in advance!
